May 14, 2025, which will feature Michael Neeki, DO.
Michael M. Neeki, D.O., M.S., FACEP, FAME, FACCP, CCHP-CP is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and serves as a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and Director of Research and Tactical Medicine at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in Colton, California. ARMC serves as a level one trauma and regional burn center. Dr. Neeki has served as the Chief Medical Officer for the San Bernardino County Department of Probation for ten years, focusing on improving healthcare for youth in the county’s juvenile care system. In additional he has been actively involved with his colleagues in improving the quality of medical care in the regional adult prisons for the past two decades.
Dr. Neeki is a fellow of American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American College of Correctional Physicians and Society of Academic Medical Educators. Dr. Neeki is actively involved in medical education, serving as a clinical professor of emergency medicine. Throughout his career, he has contributed to collaborative research programs addressing healthcare disparities and has received numerous awards for his dedication to advancing science and humanitarian efforts. Dr. Neeki continues to work on improving clinical research, emergency medical care, and injury prevention by serving on advisory and institutional boards for regional EMS agencies.

Title: “Evaluation and Treatment of Hand Infections in the Correctional Setting”
During this session, we will seek participants’ guidance on various aspects of the Correctional Medicine Grand Rounds program. We hope you can attend for what will be a great networking and educational opportunity and your opportunity to give input into the program itself.
Objectives:
1) Understand the importance of effective evaluation and treatment of hand infections in the correctional medicine setting.
2) Learn how to properly evaluate and triage hand infections on-site effectively.
3) Discuss the importance of developing strategies for early nursing care and provider referral in the treatment of hand infections.
4) Discover lessons learned through case presentations on the topic.

This Grand Rounds session, as usual, will be one hour in duration and will include ample time for questions, discussion, and networking. At this time, all Correctional Medicine Grand Rounds educational sessions are free to all attendees.
