Dr. Nicole Mushero received a PhD in biochemistry at Brandeis University before attending UMass for medical school. She attended Cambridge Health Alliance for residency and fellowship before starting at Boston Medical Center. She serves as a nursing home physician and holds a faculty appointment at the medical school as an assistant professor of medicine. Dr. Mushero is a clinician-educator who recently received a Geriatric Academic Career Award, which protects her time to work around incarcerated older adults, with a goal of improving care through educational interventions within and outside carceral institutions.
