Keynote Speaker: Bob Greifinger –

Robert B. Greifinger, MD
Dr. Robert B. Greifinger is a nationally recognized expert in correctional health care systems, with a distinguished career focused on the design, oversight, and quality improvement of health services in correctional settings. His work bridges the fields of clinical medicine, public health, and policy, offering a unique perspective on improving care for justice-involved populations.
He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and served as a court-appointed monitor in major correctional health cases. Dr. Greifinger was the principal investigator for the 2002 Report to Congress on leveraging correctional health care to advance public health and has delivered lectures nationwide on communicable disease control and healthcare management in corrections.
He is the editor of Public Health Behind Bars: From Prisons to Communities (Springer, 2007; 2022) and served as co-editor of the International Journal of Prisoner Health from 2010 to 2016. Dr. Greifinger is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Physician Executives, and the American College of Correctional Physicians. He received ACCP’s Armond Start Award for Excellence in 2007.
