Annual Fall Educational Conference
ACCP - 2023 FALL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE
CONCLUDED
The ACCP's first multi-day stand-alone conference, held in Salt Lake City on September 9, 10, and 11th, was a tremendous success! With more than 130 attendees, attendance obliterated the previous record for an ACCP conference. The conference included options for an Introduction to Correctional Medicine or Advanced Topics in Correctional Medicine, Rapid Fire Updates in Clinical Medicine, a procedure lab, and much more.
For those who were unable to attend, below is just some of what you missed and we sincerely hope that you will be able to join us next year!
Title of this year’s conference:
Improving Outcomes for Individuals and Communities
This three-day program will provide specialized training in correctional medicine to healthcare providers working in prisons, jails and juvenile facilities. Day one will consist of two tracks: one for providers who are new to correctional health, and the second for seasoned providers and those with greater administrative duties. Days two and three will include presentations on a variety of key correctional health care topics including but not limited to: Women's Health, Pharmaceutical Management, MOUD Implementation, Technology in Medicine, Hepatitis C, Chronic Pain Treatment in the Non-Opioid Era, and important rapid fire clinical updates in chronic disease management.
